Pushkar is a sacred town for the Hindus, situated 11 kms. to the North-West of Ajmer. The charm of this sleepy, lakeside settlement so captivated the great Indian poet, Kalidas,that it found a place in his classic, Abhigyan Sakuntalam. Pushkar boasts temples, though few are as ancient as you might expect at such an important pilgrimage site, since many were destroyed by Aurangzeb, a Mogul ruler and subsequently rebuilt. The most famous is the Brahma Temple, said to be the only temple in the world dedicated to this deity.
Day 1: Arrival in Pushkar
Arrive in Ajmer, transfer to Pushkar, check-in to the hotel. Rest of the day is for leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Pushkar
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Pushkar covering Pushkar lake, Brahma Temple, Man Mahal and Savitri temple (on your own). Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Depart Ajmer
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and you would be transferred to Ajmer railway station. Tour concludes.
