Nepal is probably one of the most colourful cities in the world. The city is awash with the most amazingly intricate architecture, centering on Durbar Square with its eclectic collection of temples and shrines, the exquisite old Royal Palace and the Statue of Hanuman the red cloaked Monkey God. Buddhism and Hinduism have become intermingled in Nepal in a bizarre way that few outsiders can begin to comprehend and the various pagoda style temples and shrines in the Kathmandu Valley are dedicated to a plethora of fascinating gods and goddesses.
Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu
On arrival at Kathmandu Airport, you will be received and transfered to the hotel. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and the Kathmandu Valley is the political and cultural heart of the Kingdom. The urban sprawl which makes up modern Kathmandu is in fact two cities, Patan and Kathmandu.
Day 02 : Kathmandu
This morning you will be taken for a visit to Hindu culture in Nepal, Pashupatinath. This is the place where holy saddhus pray and cremations on the Bagmati River are carried out. We then proceed to the holiest shrine to experience the Buddhist culture in Nepal, Bouddhanath. With its large Stupa, this is the place where all devout Buddhists come for a pilgrimage.
Day 03: Kathmandu
This day is free for personal activities.
Day 04: Depart Kathmandu
Morning will be comparatively free. Close to the time of your flight , you will be transferred to the airport in time to board your flight for onward journey.
