Day 1
Arrive in Cape Town
On your arrival at the Cape Town International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will than hand over your travel documents and later escort you to your pre-arranged hotel in Cape Town. Check-in, relax and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Your overnight stay remains at the hotel.
Day 2
Sightseeing in Cape Town
After breakfast at the hotel, depart from your hotel for a half-day city orientation tour of Cape Town by seat-in-coach basis. If the weather permits, visit the Ascend Table Mountain for unforgettable sweeping views and return to the city through the Malay Quarter, past the Castle, and around Table Bay to Milnerton lighthouse. Here we can see Table Mountain from the same perspective as the early settlers did when they sailed into Table Bay (please note the Table Mountain Cable Car ticket is not included and will need to be purchased directly). Post this, travel to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and return to your hotel to spend the rest of the day at leisure. Your overnight stay remains at the hotel.
Day 3
Sightseeing in Cape Town
Post a filling breakfast; depart for a full-day Cape Peninsula Tour by seat-in-coach basis. Travel at a pace that allows you to explore the beauty of the Cape Peninsula. Depart for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve along one of South Africa's most scenic routes, passing Hout Bay. Enjoy a cruise to Seal Island, to view seals and sea birds at Duiker Island (if weather permits). Or during summers, visit Cape Fur Seals that also has the rare Black Cormorant-a member of the cormorant family of seabirds. Continue to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve (funicular at an extra cost) and stop next at the new lighthouse-the most powerful in the world and beams an electric light of 19 million candle power across the ocean. Ascend to the top by Funicular (at an extra cost) and visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach (at an extra cost). Then drive through the historic naval base town of Simon's Town and return to your hotel and spend the balance of the day at leisure. Your overnight stay remains at the hotel.
Day 4
Drive from Cape Town to Knysna
After breakfast, depart from Cape Town and transfer down the Garden Route to the coastal town of Knysna (5-6 hours by road). In the company of your driver/guide enjoy a private 03 day /02 night Garden Route Tour. Explore the quaint town known for its art and craft shops. This ever-popular charming town of legend, history, arts and crafts caters to visitors every need or fancy. The town is built on the banks of the Knysna Lagoon, a National Lake Area that falls under the protection of South African National Parks-a home to more than 200 species of fish including the rare Knysna seahorse and is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Embark on a ferry trip on the Knysna Lagoon to view the famous Knysna Heads aboard the pleasure boat, the John Benn (weather permitting). On your arrival at the hotel, check-in and relax overnight at the hotel.
Day 5
Drive from Knysna to Oudtshoorn and back to Knysna
Post breakfast, transfer to Oudtshoorn for a full-day guided tour. Oudtshoorn is the ostrich capital of the world and nowhere else are ostriches found in such great number and nowhere else do they produce feathers of such fine quality; but the world's biggest bird is just one attraction in an area of enormous contrasts. The small, crime-free town, built around a wide green belt, is the commercial centre of the Klein Karoo-a rolling plain that is surrounded by towering mountains. Thus, all roads into the district follow stunningly beautiful mountain passes and all present the traveler with an interesting, scenic drive from the Garden Route, Cape Town or the hinterland. Enjoy a guided visit at the Cango Caves and the Cango Wildlife Ranch. Also enjoy a guided visit at Safari Ostrich Farm. Return to Knysna in the evening and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6
Drive from Knysna to George and fly to Johannesburg and drive to Sun City
Post breakfast, check-out and get transferred to the George Airport to board your flight to Johannesburg. On your arrival in Johannesburg, proceed straight away to Sun City by a shuttle, which operates at fixed times only. Deep in the rugged bushveld, in the heart of an ancient volcano, lies the world's most unique resort, the internationally acclaimed Sun City. Check-in and spend the rest of the day at leisure and explore Sun City on your own. Your overnight stay remains at the hotel.
Day 7
Day at leisure
Post breakfast at the hotel, you have the day at leisure to enjoy the various activities Sun City has to offer. When it comes to facilities, Sun City offers an enormous range of things to do both indoors and outdoors. Scintillating entertainment comprises shows in the Sun City theatre, games and video arcade and a selection of movies in the cinema complex. Wonderful selection of shops and boutiques gives you the opportunity to stock souvenirs and mementoes of your stay at one of the greatest resorts! Return and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 8
Drive from Sun City to Mabula Game Reserve
Post a filling breakfast at the hotel, check-out and get transferred to the Mabula Game Reserve (about a one-and-half hours drive by road). Mabula Game Lodge is set against a backdrop of lush green mountainous vegetation and is one of Southern Africa’s finest private game reserves. Only two hours north of Johannesburg, this 12000 hectare reserve is home to an abundance of animal and bird life, including the 'Big 5'. The lodge also provides exclusive accommodation in form of 47 rooms including 3 suites that offer guests every comfort in a scenic natural setting. Your lunch will be served at the lodge on your arrival (arrival time permitting), post which you may depart for an afternoon game drive, which may continue into the early evening in order to view the nocturnal animals as well. Return, have dinner at the lodge and stay overnight at the Mabula Game Lodge.
Day 9
Morning drive in Mabula Game Reserve
After an early morning wake-up call with tea/coffee and snacks, your ranger will escort you to his open safari vehicle for your morning game drive. You may return to the lodge and enjoy breakfast. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and have lunch at the lodge. Depart again for an afternoon game drive, which may continue into the early evening in order to view the nocturnal animals as well. Return, have dinner at the lodge and stay overnight at the Mabula Game Lodge.
Day 10
Drive from Mabula Game Reserve to Johannesburg
After your early morning game drive and breakfast at the lodge, its time you check-out and get transferred to your Johannesburg hotel. After check-in formalities, spend the rest of the day at leisure and relax overnight at the hotel.
Day 11
Depart from Johannesburg
Post breakfast at the hotel, check-out and take the complimentary hotel shuttle to the Johannesburg International Airport to board your flight for back home.
