Ghandi Park, Sippighat Farm and the century-old Cellular Jail (now a pilgrimage destination) provide glimpses into the past and present of these peaceful islands with a mysterious and multicultural past.
Day 1: Arrive In Port Blair
Arrive at Port Blair airport and get escorted to the hotel. Visit the Anthropological Museum, which displays the tools, models, habitats, art and handicrafts of the aboriginal tribes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Then proceed to Corbyn's Cove beach. In the evening, witness the Light and Sound Show at Cellular Jail where the saga of the freedom struggle is brought alive.
Day 2: Port Blair - Ross Island - North Bay Island (Coral Island) - Harbour Cruise (Viper Island)
After breakfast, we proceed for a cruising towards Ross Island, Viper Island and North Bay (Coral Island). First, we start with an exhilarating journey (by boat) to Ross Island. (Ross Island was the erstwhile capital of Port Blair during the British regime). From Ross Island, we proceed for a joyful trip to the North Bay Island (Coral Island), which offers an exotic coral, colorful fishes and underwater marine life. We can view these colorful corals & underwater marine life via a glass bottom boat and snorkeling. Around evening, we proceed for a cruise of the harbor by a boat, including a trip to Viper, the place of execution. Overnight stay at Port Blair.
Day 3: Port Blair - Havelock Island
Early morning, with a packed breakfast, proceed for Havelock Island via ferry. On arrival at Havelock Island, check-in to the resort and after a little break, proceed to Radhanagar Beach, which is rated 7th among the finest beaches in Asia. The sun kissed beach is an ideal place for swimming, sea bathing and basking. Overnight stay at Havelock island.
Day 4: Havelock Island - Port Blair
After breakfast, return to Port Blair (via ferry) and stay overnight at Port Blair.
Day 5: Port Blair - Mount Harriet
After breakfast, we proceed for Mount Harriet, the highest peak in the South Andamans (365 meters high). During the British Raj, this highest peak was established as the summer headquarters of the Chief Commissioner. This place is ideal for a nice and fascinating overview of the outer islands and the sea. In the afternoon, we proceed for Chidiya Tapu, the southernmost tip of South Andaman with lush green mangroves, a forest cover with numerous chirping birds and the Sylvan sands and the breath-taking sunset. Overnight stay at Port Blair.
Day 6: Port Blair - City Tours
After breakfast, proceed for a panoramic tour of the Port Blair city which covers; the Cellular Jail, Chatnam Saw Mill, Forest Museum, Mini Zoo, Samdudrika (Naval Marine Museum), Gandhi Park, Fisheries museum, Science Center and water sports complex. Afternoon, we proceed for Sagarika Emporium, Marina Park and the local markets for shopping.
Day 7: Depart Port Blair
Depart for the airport with memories of terrific holidays at Andaman Islands. |
