The green, ramshackle capital sprawls around a harbour on the east coast of South Andaman and is the administrative nerve centre of the islands. There’s plenty to see in town relating to the islands’ colonial past plus a couple of interesting museums, and as this is the only place to change money, reliably access the internet and book (and wait for) onward transport, most travellers will spend at least a couple of days here. If you want to experience the more natural beauty of the Andamans – above and below the water – book a ferry and move on to Havelock or one of the other islands.
Day 1: Arrive In Port Blair
On arrival at Port Blair airport, our representative will receive and escort you to the hotel. After checking into the hotel and resting for sometime, we begin the sightseeing with Anthropological Museum, which displays the tools, model habitats, art and handcrafts of the aboriginal tribes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and from there, we proceed to Corbyn's Cove beach. In the evening, we move for the Light and Sound show at Cellular Jail where the saga of the freedom struggle is brought alive.
Day 2: Port Blair - Ross Island - North Bay Island (Coral Island) - Harbour Cruise (Viper Island)
After breakfast, we proceed for a full day cruising towards, Ross Island, Viper Island and North Bay (Coral Island). First we start the exhilarating journey by boat to Ross Island, the erstwhile capital of Port Blair during the British regime, it now stands an imposing relic with the structure almost in debris. A small museum displays photographs and other antiques of the British, relevant to these islands.
From Ross Island, we proceed for a joyful trip to North Bay island (Coral Island) offering exotic coral, colourful fish and underwater marine life. We can view these colourful corals & underwater marine life via glass bottom of the boat and experience snorkeling (optional). From North bay (Coral Island) we proceed for a cruise of the harbour, then a panoramic view of seven points from sea i.e. harbour, floating docks, etc. including a trip to Viper Island the place of execution.
Day 3 : Port Blair - City Sightseeing
After breakfast, we take you for a tour of Port Blair city covering Cellular Jail (National Memorial), Chatham Saw Mill (the oldest and biggest mill in Asia), Forest Museum, Samundrika (Naval Marine Museum), Aquarium (Fisheries Museum), Science Centre and Andaman Water Sports Complex. After lunch, we proceed to the Gandhi Park, Marina Park & then to Sagarika (the Govt. Emporium of Handcrafts) and local market for shopping.
Day 4 : Depart from Andaman Islands
Drop to Port Blair Airport / Harbour for return journey with wonderful holiday memories.
