Agra, formerly known as Agrabana in Mahabharata, was nurtured with the finest Mughal monuments like Taj Mahal of Saha Jahan, Agra Fort of Akbar and Itmad-ud-daula, which stands in mute testimony to the city's ageless grandeur. Gwalior, the city of rich cultural tradition, has been interwoven into the fabric of modern life. Their great palaces and museum still sing the story of their majestic princely past. These multitude of images merge and mix to present to the visitor a city of enduring greatness. Princely state of Dholpur was home to valiant royalty and gallant warriors, who redefined the legend of Rajasthani valour. Steeped in a vibrant history and a rich heritage, the Dholpur Palace takes you on a mesmerizing journey back in time. Dholpur's world-famous Red Stone; with interiors embellished completely in intricate, custom designed tiles from Europe.
Day 1: Delhi to Agra
In the morning, you proceed on a 4 hour journey from Delhi to Agra. After your arrival in Agra, you check into the hotel. After freshening up, you head out to see Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. You can indulge into your choice of activities in the evening. Then, you will return to the hotel for a restful night.
Day 2: Dholpur
In morning, you check out of the hotel and start a 1.5 hour drive from Agra to Dholpur. Upon arrival in Dholpur, you will check into the hotel. Then, you will step out to enjoy the local attractions like Nihal Tower, Machkund Temple, Sant Nagar, Sher Shikar Gurudwara and Shergarh Fort. Then, you will return to the hotel for overnight accommodation.
Day 3: A Drive to Gwalior
You will enjoy the breakfast in the morning. Then, you will proceed on a 1.5 hour drive to Gwalior; the princely state of Madhya Pradesh. You will enjoy the local sightseeing like Gwalior visit the Gwalior Fort, Gwalior Zoo, and City Mall. Then, you will return to Dholpur in the evening for a relaxing night at the hotel.
Day 4: Delhi
After the fresh breakfast in the morning, you will check out of Dholpur hotel and head out on a 5 hour drive to New Delhi Airport or railway station. This royal cultural journey will end here and you will start your return journey back home.
